How it works
The window is 180 days ending on the “as of” date (that day plus 179 days before it). Presence days inside that window are counted. This does not replace the official calculator used by border authorities.

This tool counts every calendar day from entry through exit inclusive. Some official notes treat this similarly; always confirm.
Does a residence permit use this rule?
